oops I can't get the pictures where they should be, Sorry!
Life has been very hectic, there are not enough hours in the day and blogging from my phone just doesn't happen. I can update Facebook in the blink of an eye from my phone but cannot work out how to blog!
I don't have access to a computer very often as I am so often flitting between appointments, or children needing me. So, SORRY! I resolve to try harder to keep this blog better up to date in the New year!
When you can't open your Stocking yourself you need excited siblings to help you!
In the meantime we have had a lovely Christmas. Joshua cooked Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, This has been a tradition for many years now, we eat our main Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve, It works well for us, and means I don't have to be worried about the cooker when the children want me to play with new toys etc. It also means that it doesn't matter how much junk they eat during the day as I am not going to be upset that they have no appetite left for Christmas Dinner. We eat left overs as and when we want them...cold parsnips never tasted so good!

We went to Church Christmas morning, it was a nice brief service that included a time for the children to show a present and for the adults to show they are still all big kids! There were quite a few visitors which was lovely, and it was a good opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas in person....then driving home for Christmas, Rosie and Eve were both happy and smiley and Joshua and Christina were in full excitement mode, Jonathan was already planning his next meal and what we would have for dinner that evening....thankfully he was happy that there was enough of everything for him to have a repeat performance of the Christmas meal, plated up and microwaved! Nothing puts Jonathan off his Christmas dinner.
Once home Rosie decided it was all too out of the ordinary and she was going to escape this madness! As I gave her her next feed she decided to tuck back under her covers and go to sleep! This meant we had time to have a snack and do the present opening without her being totally stressed out by the process...Rose really does not cope with wrapped presents, it is her one big stress trigger, everyone gives Rosie presents in a gift bag so she can look in the bag and see what is there. We had just finished picking up the last piece of wrapping paper when Rosie cam giggling back into the lounge! She had a huge Santa Sack full of smaller Santa Sacks and was happy to explore one at a time.
It was Midday on Boxing Day by the time she had explored everything! But we got it right this year! We had found a light show that fills her room with dancing lights, She loved it!
Joshua and David had a remote controlled Helicopter each which amused them both for quite a while. before the Uno game that Christina had had took them all off to the Kitchen to play. Rosie Eve and I snuggled up watching video's and exploring toys and clothes. it was a lovely end to a lovely day and thankfully by 11pm everyone was settled. I even managed to warm up all my wheat bags, old and new to snuggle down in bed with a wheat bag on the worst of my swollen joints, Listening to my Audio book and drifting off into sleep, until the first of the alarms at 1.30am...
Unfortunately Boxing Day didn't start as well. Rosie was not really right and then at 10 am Eve had a major event causing her SATs to drop to 64 then on down to 57 whilst her heart rate soared to 166, Suction didn't produce very much and with 8 litres of Oxygen running and laying her on her bed she slowly recovered. It was a good hour before she opened her eyes and responded to us, quite a frightening episode.
Thankfully she was fine by evening and our hearts settled too, catastrophe averted!
In the midst of all this Christina developed a major Migraine, visual disturbance and vomiting and feeling very sorry for herself, thankfully once Eve began to recover she took to her bed and slept for two hours feeling a little better by mid afternoon.
Today we have had another lovely day, involving a trip out to the local outlet village, wandering in the fresh air for the kids and sitting in the garden cents with a Hot Chocolate for me!
So we are still here! Still grateful for God's hand on our lives, Still working through the crisis, problems and difficulties as they come, and making progress in some area's and facing new battles in others. Our big news just before the Christmas weekend was that the LEA have now agreed to everything we wanted in Joshua's Statement except Transport, still working on the transport issue, but we have everything else in there! this is great news!
Hope everyone has had a happy and blessed Christmas and wishing you all a wonderful 2012!
Tina
