A Day in The life!

6.15 wake to the sound of feed pump.

6.20 Loo, wash teeth clean down to Eve.

6.30 load washing machine on way through to put kettle on.

7.00 Sat with coffee and check emails whilst giving Eve some stetches and calling to Joshua and Christina.

7.15-7.30 reminding C and J they have to make sure bags are ready, drinks made, animals fed before school time as I need to leave before 8 am to take eve to Eye clinic.

7.30 - 7.45 Listening to Christina read whilst dressing Eve brushing hair and remindin everyone of where they need to be and what they need to do.

7.50 Sending bags, feeds, pump and child to car whilst I ensure I have what I need and ensuring school bags are deffinietly ready!

7.55 drive off towards hospital...need diesel before I get to hospital so head off from main road and arrive at Garage by 8.13

8.13 and 20 seconds, lean across to pul purse from handbag to discover keys to other car on seat!

8.13 and 25 seconds catch sight of keys to minibus in drivers dash pocket!

8.14 call good friend on mobile phone to se if she could possibly dash to our house to take J and C to school....we live almost 4 miles from school so walking is not really an option! Good friend is in no much better situation than us as the previous evening on way back from sam hospital hr drive shaft went on her car and she is at that moment waiting for a lift to work! She assures me she can still manage to have them after school.

8.16 call hospital and cancel appointment!
8.16 and 30 seconds call David to tell him of problem and let him know I will be home as soon as I can to take kids to school.

8.18 fill vehicl with Diesel and pay.....£77 that went quick!

8.22 pull of garage forecourt and head home

8.51 arrive at home hand over car keys and David heads off to school with children.

8.55 manage to get through to school and explain the kids lateness, I realise David will probably not think to explain to the staff and kids would be in trouble!

9.10 Collapse in Chair with coffee!

9.15 phone rings first of calls with regard to the crisis of a week ago.

9.17 phone rings someone wanting a chat...can do that right now and make excuses.

9.20 phone rings carer! Unble to come tonight and tomorrow due to health!

9.30 David and I spend 10 minutes in meaninful conversation about the solar lights for the garden and what to do with the Lupins we dug up out of window fitters way yesterday.

9.40 spend a while dealing with email and paperwork, empy washing machine, put away a few pils of clothes!

9.55 cleaner arrives and helps to hang out washing whils we discuss what we need him to do today.

10.10 post arrives with Detailed plans from the councils proposals...spend a few minutes checking through wha they are now saying...delight in one change that is a step nearer wha we actually need...drop the excitement one scale when we realise i is only an option the other option is also being priced.

10.30 set off to Hospice to collect Jonathan and Rosie!

12 pm pull into Tesco Car park and head to restaurant for lunch. Deciding it will be better to have eaten before heading back home. J and R were planned to eat lunch there.

12.05 just about to step into lift when my mobile rings....the secnd phone call about issue of previous week, I have to ask them to call back in 5 minutes as the phone will cut off in lift!

12.10 Having visited loo and ordered lunch sit down with much needed drink waiting for phone to ring again!

12.15 dinner arrives still no phone call.

12.25 almost finished dinner when phone rings and a las able to face up to facing up to working through some serious trust building again.

12.45 we arrive back at the car and load Eve back in and head to the hospice

1pm walk through the door of the hospice exactly on time! pretty amazing after the morning we had had!

the rest of the collection and loading up and even the journey home went pretty well and having collected Joshua and Christina from the good friend we arrived home at 4 pm. just in time for carer had she been coming!

Plan was for me to sort Rosie with some food whilst David sorted her bed. During a plumbing crisis her bed had been used to safe guard nappies, toys and clothes and his needed removing and the be making.
Rosie however had been fitting most of the day and had had her rescue meds at 1 ish and was really weary, so it meant that she was ready for her bed before it ws ready for her. We managed to persuade her to wait though and eventually had her settled..far too early for comfort and I suspect saturday may start too early but she is settled, home and safe!

not long after Rosie settled the phone rang....a builder who was due to come and give us a tender for our works....h would be wih us in half an hour.
OK so put our dinner on hold till after he has been then....
6.15 well over half an hour since the phone call and no sign and no word...we decide to start dinner anyway.
6.45 we sit to eat dinner and 10 mins later the phone rings....builder is lost! this is the office ringing not the lost builder so i desist giving instructions and suggest the builder rings us and tells us where he is.
7.05 builder rings gives his position and we tell him to stay put and David goes to retrieve him
I m so glad we decided to eat whilst waiting!

7.15 David and builder arrive and we go through the plans and point out the various bits of things that are not obvious from the plans.

7.30 builder heads off and we start the bed time wind down.

8 pm and Rosie and Christina are both in bed, Eve is chilled on the settee. Jonathan is wtching hi tv ad Joshua is being very quiet somewhere!

I dont feel as though I have achieved much today but am exhausted! It is good to have everyone back under the same roof though!

Prayer request for tonight.

We need peace about the issues of last week and how that will affect our future.

We need the builders putting in Tenders to be swift.
Ideally we would like the tenders for the Councils proposal to be enough to allow us to manage to fund our proposal.
Pray for our children, all suffering in some way right now...nothing major for most of them but none of them 100% even by their own standards. Rosie is not stable in her epilepsy at all.
Please pray for God's will in their and our lives and for us to have peace in that!
