I dont like goodbyes, but todays was particularly horrible. Joshua discovered all our rabbits and guinea pigs had been attacked by we presume a fox in the night.
Goodbye, Fluffy, Mogwi, Silver and Snowy.
Joshua and Christina are devastated. Joshua actually found Mogwi and then Fluffy, Fluffy was the worst damaged of the three we have found. We had a burial and they said their goodbyes.
We have not Found any remains for Silver...Joshua is torn between wanting to find her and being afraid he will. It has not been a good day.
It was also a little bit of Deja Vu. Last year on the evening of his borthday party his first rabbit Thumper died. He had his party yesterday joint with Eve, then made this horrible discovery this morning. It really has shken him a lot...
It was very touching this morning though to see Joshua and Christina hugging each other in their grief....they have been at each others throats a fair bit recently....it was good to see that they do still care very much about each other.
Tomorrow we are off to the Hospice for a much needed break...so much heartache in our lives at the moment, as well as frustrations of other peoples making. To top everything we had a letter from the LEA on Saturday...timed to arrive at the weekend I am sure. IT tells us they are not prepared to make provision for Eve to attend the school named on her statement. All sorts of excuses about why! But it boils down to she isnt worth it! The likelihood of her lioving to use her education in a capacity they deem useful is limited...so why waste the money educating her?
I am heading for tribunal...dont want to....dont have the energy to.....but I have to! If I dont fight for her no one else will!
