The Bible tells us quite clearly we should pray for our leaders.
World leaders are meeting for the Climate Change Conference this week and Prayer has to be so important!
The BMS has written to Gordon Brown specifically stating we will be praying for Him as he presents at this conference.
Will you join together and agree to pray for ALL the leaders at this conference and that God's Will will overrule in decisions made?
Here is what the BMS have to say:-
Dear friend
As you may know, the UN Copenhagen Climate Conference begins on Monday 7 December. Coverage of this key international event will be a lead story across all international news media in the coming days.
BMS has already made its response to the Climate Conference. At a time when so many are shouting and demanding things from him, BMS instead sent an open letter to Prime Minister Gordon Brown, promising to pray for him in the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen. This promise is supported by Baptist leaders in 25 countries, making it a truly international Baptist commitment.
We’d like you and your congregation to actively join in this prayer support, so we ask you to share this letter with your church this Sunday, the day before the Copenhagen conference begins.
I’ve attached a copy of our letter to the Prime Minister along with a list of the 25 countries, whose Baptist leaders have endorsed it. Please feel free to copy these for your church. I’ve also attached a short PowerPoint presentation which you might find helpful on Sunday.

This is the first time that BMS has sent an open letter to a serving British Prime Minister. Please add to the prayers of other Baptists all over the world and help to make this a significant moment in world history.
