David's Hospital Visit

I know it is unusual but today David had a hospital appointment. Over the last year or possibly a little longer David's long term problem with Psoriasis has become more and more severe. To the point where it is severely affecting his sleep, and affecting his ability to function in the daytime too. He has been back to the Dr several times and then decided it was a waste of time as the Dr did very little and non of the creams they prescribed had any lasting effect.

A few weeks ago I demanded he went to the Dr and I went with him. With much discussion and prescriptions for creams and antibiotics we perseudaed the GP to frefer him to a Dermatologist. We requested the same Dermatologist that had seen Jonathan last year and followd him through and made such a huge improvement to Jonathan's skin. Today that appointment came round.

Unfortunately the appointment was at 9 am this morning and there was no way we could arrange for me to be able to go with him. So ensuring he had all the cream names and was prepared to explain exactly how this was affecting him I sent him on his way....praying for a good consultation. Requesting prayer from friends for this to be the start of the road to getting this problem under control!

Well....I deffinitely think we are on the right road! The consultant was horrified at the state of David's skin...could not believe it had been allowed to get this bad before being referred for speicalist treatment. He has given him antibiotics to take orally, an antimicrobial soap substitute and emolient and a cream to apply at bed time...he also sent him for blood tests and is going to follow him closely to ensure that the problem comes under control!

Thank you to those of you who prayed for this. We are so glad to have found this Dermatiologist, he made a big differenc in Jonathan;s life and now hopefully is on the way to improving David's too!

Whilst on the topic of thanks for prayers. Rosie has a new evening carer! Thank you to everyone who has prayed faithfully for this. I think we are onto a winner again! They are currently ensconsed on the settee with a book, have a great relationship with the Duplo box and are very happy together!

So a happier household tonight!
Thanks!
