We are exhausted! We are struggling with the new information in our lives! We are not ready for our holiday! We are in need of rest and it will not happen!
Rosie decided to spice life up a little! The day had gone quite well despite the lack of sleep. We had friends come for lunch and to stay and offer friendship and comfort and play!
The afternoon was wonderful, a chance to begin to offload carfeully, still needing to hold things together for the sake of the chidren but a chance to express some concerns with someone able to accept me for who I am.
At 4 ish the carer and my friend left for home, the children's friend stayed on to be taken home later. The fun continued for quite a while before it was time to take friend home. Then things got tricky...Apparantly Rosie had been in the drawer after the keys earlier and now the keys were gone.
Trying to retrace Rosie's steps over a few hours is almost impossible...she had been in the garden on her deck in her bed in the lounge...there were just so many places to search. Rosie also has a good throw...so it was not just a case of search the ground, there were bushes and weeds and stinging nettles and shelves and drawers and cupboards to search. We exhausted our ideas and oursleves by 11 pm...thankfully the key to the Vito was there and we did get friend home.
The morning started as the evening finished looking for keys! At 8 am I rang the dealership for our minibus to see what a new key would cost and how long it would take...we drive a Renault Master and the Key had to come from France and would take 5 - 10 days....we are due to go on holiday on Saturday!
We gave up the search for a cup of coffee and a then resumed searching through the drawers in the lounge near the one they had gone from...for some reason Christina had wandered outside on the front deck and sudenly spotted the mail box! Peeriong in she shouted I can see somthing Mummy! The mailbox is redundant since getting a new front door with a letterbox in it but we had found it's key during our search so we opened the door and there lay 3 sets of keys and a hair brush! PHEW!

Hooray on getting your slide up and working ! And well done for finding all your keys - and to think I gave Rosie my keys on Sunday when I knew her track record, but she looks so innocent !
Enjoy your holiday as best you can, take care love Caroline
Looks like the kids had great fun and I had to laugh at Rosie posting the keys, Laura would have done just the same as she LOVES posting anything! Have a great holiday, enjoy the time with the kids and try not to worry. love Kate xx
