A Tour of our House!

This is the view from our bedroom window...overlooking Rosie's deck, her bedroom leads straight out onto their giving her a safe play area where she can see and be seen!
This is the front of our house. As you can see the upstairs is in two halves...we would love the council to use that space between the houses to provide a link, and a disabled bathroom, accessed by a through floor lift, thereby making it possible for us to get from our room on the left, to Joshua and Christina's on the right! Also giving us a bathrrom we can easily get the girls into whislt making it inaccessable to Rosie unattended. We would like the building that protrudes from the front, rebuilding slightly wider and longer to make a real bedroom for Joanthan with ensuite wetroom! At the moment it is far too small as a bedroom for him and is cold, damp and draughty! Unfortunately although everyone unconnected from the council thinks our ideas make snese. Those with the power to make those plans happen refuse to see it!
These two pictures show Rosie and Eve's room, the flooring makes the room look so much bigger, really want to find a nice wide chest of drawers to replace the plastic and narrow wood ones you can see by the door. Nothing really fits in those narrow drawers!

The kitchen is beginning to take shape now...try not to view the forest of wood supporting the kitchen cabinets...that is jut to make them level as the floor is so far out! the left side is the sink unit, and that side is finished, the end is waiting for the worktop and the right hand side where the cooker is is not yet levelled! Floor looks nice though doesn't it?

Our new bedroom! I have rearranged the furniture and along with the nice shiny floor it makes the room look huge! We still have a few bits to find a home for but it is looking quite nice now! Not too sure about the blue walls but they will stay until the work gets done...which on past experience could be a long while yet!

Christina's Mural her bed has to be pulled slightly from the wall so she can gaze at it til she falls asleep. Apparantly she can make up her dreams before she falls asleep! Maybe she is following that pathway then when she sleepwalks!

I do not know what the future holds, but I am glad I know who holds the future!

Looks beautiful Tina. And if it's like ours, then so much easier to clean than carpet.

I love Rosie's decking, really beautiful.

And hmmm interesting thought about Christina's dreams - tell her to make up dreams where she's sitting still! I do that too - it's a lovely way to fall asleep - but causes problems when you're so stressed you can't switch off and think of happy things.
